I own way too many black shirts in different brands so I make sure my style isn't just plain old black tees. Layered my old white button down shirt underneath, pulled out the collar and rolled up the sleeves. Again, there's so much more to fashion than just fancy brands and 'trendy' staples. Being able to find your personal style can help you be different and not just try to fit in.

You already know, I'm a loyal fan of Neighborhood brand. Again, another Japanese brand that I truly adore and respect. My cap is from this brand called Мишка, a household name in NY. Derived from the russian word "bear" or "cub", they already proved their influence since it has gone big and gained a lot of followers since 2003. I'm not really a major fan of the brand but I still have mad respect for them.

The first kind of sneakers I collected were Chuck Taylors and Vans. In HS, it was a smart thing to do because they were way cheaper and I was into skating and biking for a short time (until i wasnt haha). I was also into hiking in my mom's province so obviously, I needed beaters. Sneakers for me was a thing I could abuse and replace. Only 2 years back, I started collecting Nike Air Jordan shoes. I admit it, they are reallyyyy expensive. They are luxury shoes that I don't even wear when it rains! I dont play basketball with them, they look too pretty to abuse. I guess the positive side of it is that I have learned to value and clean my own shoes, in short- I became responsible in taking care of my things. I also love the fact that girls from my city don't have the same shoes as me. My Jordan collections are dead-stock and OGs. I do own a few overrated shoes like Superstars and Skate-His but they are my beaters. Wow sneaker talk, I must have been a boy in my past life. Lol. Owning my first Jordans was a game changer. I know it wouldn't be my last. It's like finding my own SOLEmate shoes... -.-

Jordan 1 Royals are surprisingly not my first Js. This was my second pair but I love it. The classic silhouette and the perfect color got me hooked. Although they get uncomfortable after wearing it for hours, its a guaranteed head turner based on experience. Its also a conversation starter. Apparently, people would call you "sneaker head" more often when you wear Jordans than any other kind of shoes. Its a fact. A piece of advice when you are confused in picking your first Jordans: go for Jordan 1s, may it be the hi's or the lows.  You can never go wrong with it.

 I always had a thing for oversized sweats/pullover, boyfriend jeans and turtlenecks just because they simply allow you to move around all day, whatever you’ve planned. And for a girl who lives in a tropical country, I have an awful lot of jackets and coverup collection. I cant help myself, I love layering so much. Guess I could say I’m more of a winter child in spite of living in a country that only knows 'too sunny for layers' and 'too rainy for shoe game' weather. Well, its getting pretty windy and rainy lately so more reason to showcase my winter collection lol. Casually layered my staple black sweaters with a touch of red and the mere fact that I can simply change my entire look by pulling off a layer or two makes it even more fun to play with.

Wore this super comfy Xlarge crew neck pullover and styled it with a separate red turtle neck because wearing this as it is was boring. Sometimes wearing clothes in the same color over and over again can get boring to some people but not when you got styles and tricks up on your sleeve. To be honest, all those branded pieces that you own is flat out boring when you have no sense of style at all. Its just like wearing the clothes straight out of a store's mannequin. There's nothing wrong with that but finding your own personal style can really take you places.

"X-Large was the first street brand to use a gorilla or monkey as a logo even before 'A Bathing Ape in Lukewarm Water'..." Ever since I laid my eyes on this brand, I knew it was something that fits my taste. Although Xlarge was founded in LA back in 1991, it was more inspired by Japanese culture and we all know Japanese brands have the best quality products. XLarge, Neighborhood, BAPE, Supreme, Yohji Yamamoto just to name a few of my faves that gained popularity in Jpn. On a side note, I believe everyone should know the brands they are wearing. Just because its an 'in' thing or its famous for now doesn't mean you have to hop in the bandwagon. Only very few people from my place actually recognized this brand and I don't mind one bit. As long as it suits my preference and personal branding, I will represent it. ;)

Of course I paired it with some cozy sneakers from Adidas for a daily look. My all time favorite beaters when it starts raining. I love how all the pieces add up to this subtle, undone look to my outfit. Just the right amount of color added to make your normal pullover/sweater look different. 

All smiles when my friend decided to sell this pullover to me. Addition to my growing Xlarge collection!

Literally chased the sun light as we started our quick shoot a little late than planned. That's the sun light interval in just 10 mins. From 6:05 - 6:15pm. (just a wild guess lol)


Trying to make the color RED a thing for me now. In my post a few years back, I stated that my favorite color was red but I would seldom wear that color as clothing. Although I would still find some red garments as a big no-no for my wardrobe but for others, like this red bomber jacket and New Era cap- its a big yes for me. A (little) pop of color wouldn't hurt nobody, right?

I am literally in-love with my new Vans Skate-Hi in Red! I've never seen anyone from here wear Skate-Hi's in this color so I got it as soon as I found my size. I own a black&white version of them but it has gone mainstream. You can actually see someone wear b&w Vans EVERYWHERE. Nothing wrong with that but you know, nothing wrong with owning a rare (colored) pair too. ;)


Wore my shirt backwards because the back design of my Stussy x Mastermind collaboration shirt was cute, too! Its such a waste if I don't get to show them. I mean, back shots are fine but having it as a front design accents my entire outfit more.

Another day, another loose baggy outfit. Being petite since I was a little girl, I have mastered the ways of hiding my small frame. I hated being skinny. And now that I'm an adult, I have also mastered the ways of concealing my bloated tummy after eating out the entire day! I guess that's one of the many reasons why I love loose clothing, one can never tell that I ate so much for lunch... And dinner! Lol. Big sized shirts and bottoms paired with cute shoes and caps are my staple outfit since forever. And yes, that's another black shirt. I was sooooooo happy when i bought this Stussy World Tour shirt especially when they came in my size! I've been looking for this design for years. I know for sure I'm gonna overuse this one. On another note, I might have been investing too much on men's clothes. Trust me, they are more pricey than the ladies clothes! I've developed great respect for men who really collect respectable brands now. Plus I totally understand why people hate on people who rock fake merch- fake shoes, fake shirts, fake caps, etc- its not cool. It is disrespectful to the brand and to the ones who really spend money to get and support the real ones. If you cant afford it, go buy local brands or brands that suits your budget. Dont force & pressure yourself. Real talk.


Bucket hats can be very tricky. I have owned a few pieces of this style through the years but every single one of them are chosen very carefully by me. I can be very picky when it comes to bucket hats especially when they are in printed patterns because a certain pattern may come off as cheap to me. This design suits me best because the other hat that i had to choose from reminds me of a printed skater skirt huhu. Of course I picked a darker shade with hints of neutral colors, that's exactly the color palette of my closet so its very easy to pair it with anything.

Everyone should own at least one tote bag. Yes, even the boys. I swear it magically fits everything! I pair this with anything as long as im wearing sneakers. Hehe. Also reminds me of busy Japanese people. I got mine from Fake Friends (IG: @urfakefriend).
